Rogue Symmetry is a cartoon that I have created in order to, wait, maybe it's a comic. Ok, Rogue Symmetry is a comic that I have...no, if I am a 'cartoonist' then it must be a cartoon, right? Anyhow, Rogue Symmetry is a cartoon - but don't cartoons move? Aw heck, just check out Rogue Symmetry and laugh.
When I was 14 I had high hopes of growing up to be a cartoonist and I was really thrilled to have a couple of my 'toons printed in the local Ad Shopper. At last my work was published in something with a slightly wider readership than the school paper. Sadly my dreams died.

DeleteAs for the local shoppers/coffee shop newspapers, our local one really annoys me. Here it is, a teenie tiny local 8 page thing, and their only cartoon in it is a King Features toon. That makes it pretty much impossible for me (or any local cartoonist) to send a cartoon in and have them print it.
The last sentence is a bummer. Life does sometimes get in the way. I wanted to be a pro race car driver, but kids put that on hold. I did get back into it when I was 51, but only for fun. My son and I raced in the same class.
