Baby Blues Contest

When it comes to something as special as winning an autographed Baby Blues collection, I take it very seriously. The contest (shown here) was to count all the pumpkins that Rick Kirkman drew in the cartoon. Well, like I said, I take this seriously, so I didn't just rely on my eyes and pointer fingers. No, I grabbed my Wacom tablet and made sure to dot every single pumpkin as I counted them. Otherwise, being a man of self-doubt, I would have gotten to 317 and just KNOWN I'd counted this blasted pumpkin before. That is when the Golem/Schmiegel argument in my mind would commence. Any how, I counted 389 pumpkins. Wish me luck in the contest!

Don't Drink and Ride (Unicycle)

I have recently taken up unicyling. I went out to practice last night after a few beers and realized that it was a very bad idea before (luckily) I even touched my cycle. Instead of breaking my neck, I created this little reminder to myself. Trust me, at this point in my fledgling unicycle hobby, I don't need help falling off!!

Baby Bar (A Re-Drawn Rogue)

Here is another Re-Drawn Rogue. I kept the background the same for the most part. I changed the coloring, positioning of the bottle, and the bartender is totally different. He even lost his Toadies shirt (no offense to them) as it was too distracting.

I personally find it funnier with breasts instead of a bottle, but decided to redraw it with a bottle also for my post on Sherpa.

17th Radish #1

Recently, I have been having bizarre ideas find their way into my cartooning notebook. They are a bit random (and often not really humorous), but nonetheless, something drives me to take them from the notebook and actually draw them out.

They certainly aren't Rogue Symmetry material, so I decided to draw them under the name, 17th Radish (big props to you if you know this reference!). So, here is the first one. I don't quite know why I was compelled to draw it. I don't even know what it means! Maybe it is the beginning of a new stage in my drawing? Or maybe I'm just losing my mind. Either way, I'm enjoying the ride!

Chinese Spelling Bee (A Re-Drawn Rogue)

I have spent a lot of time re-drawing some of my older cartoons.

This cartoon was originally drawn in 2011. The one below that was drawn on September 18th, 2013. I think I am making good progress in my effort to learn how to draw better. What do you think? Better? Worse? Comments?

The Government Shutdown comic

I got such good feedback for a comment on Facebook, that I decided to take that comment and paste it into a cartoon for everyone to enjoy. Yeah, that guy is me. A Rogue Symmetry me.

Next time my wife and i disagree on something financial, we are going to shutdown the household. No more food for the kids, restrooms closed, no book reading or song singing, no AC or heat, windows all closed, and we are taking away their favorite toys.
